Thea-Tex completes a successful debut at MEDICA 2011

Thea-Tex made its debut at the world's largest medical expo, MEDICA 2011 held in Dusseldorf between the 16th and19th of November 2011. Team Thea-Tex braved the chilly German winter to meet with several prospective partners from around the world, over the four day trade fair.

Thea-Tex were located at the Indian Pavilion in Hall 7.1 B36 (3) along with the rest of the Indian contingent. Despite the trade fair being fairly quiet in terms of footfall, probably due to the global recession, the quality of visitors was extremely good.

In 2011, Thea-Tex has completed a hat trick of the three largest international trade fairs, announcing the arrival of a professional Indian mask manufacturer and nonwoven converter on the global scene. Many of the visitors during the fair had also connected in Dubai and Sao Paulo earlier in 2011, so it was a chance to renew relationships and enhance further cooperation.

Thea-Tex was positively surprised by the number of purchase and contract outsourcing managers looking to develop an Indian supplier for nonwoven products, and transfer some buying away from China into India. With this feedback Thea-Tex is planning some product diversification in 2012 with a possible new manufacturing facility for Gowns and Drapes, exclusively for exports on an OEM basis. Thea-Tex is in discussions with a number of MNC's and large private companies for joint ventures and buy-back agreements. We would like to very much hear from partners who would be interested to have these products manufactured for them in their brand.

We look forward to meeting you at Mumbai for Medical Fair 2012 between the 2nd and 4th March 2012!

Auf Wiedersehen!!

Thea-Tex receives N95 NIOSH Approval on 20.09.2010 vide Approval No. TC-84A-5296 for TT-DBN95

During the 2009 H1N1 global pandemic, it was highlighted that India did not have any domestic based manufacturers of Particulate Respirators. As a result there was considerable dependency on imported stocks and highly priced branded N95's, which unfortunately lead to black marketing. Thea-Tex as a leading surgical mask manufacturer, commissioned a production line for a revolutionary design of duck bill particulate respirators that are produced 100% by automated machines with no manual intervention, thereby enhancing finishing quality, increasing production capabilities and reducing manufacturing costs. After a 6 month development phase, Thea-Tex received the highly sought after NIOSH Approval from the US Government and is the first domestic Company in the medical segment to receive NIOSH approval.

Thea-Tex increases mask/cap production capacity to more than 25 Million Pieces/Month and N95 Production Capacity to more than 1 Million Pieces/Month

Since starting commercial production in 2005, Thea-Tex quickly established itself as the leading professional mask manufacturer in India. The global shortage of masks during 2009, highlighted the requirement for Indian consumers to be less dependant on imported stocks from China. In order to maintain a stronghold on the domestic client base and establish Thea-Tex as a global mask supplier, the production capacity was increased to 30 Million pieces per month and for N95 Respirators a new production line with a capacity of 1 Million pieces per month was added.
